About Us

Aspire was started in 2019 by David Kobis to advise health systems and providers faced with operational, financial, and strategic challenges. Mr. Kobis is an experienced hospital and health care leader specializing in operational and strategic transformations of acute, ambulatory, and post-acute organizations. He has more than 30 years of experience, including roles as a health system CEO, President, COO, Chief Integration Officer, and management consultant. His primary focus over the last 15 years has been leading financial turnarounds at distressed hospitals, especially those in rural markets. Mr. Kobis' expertise includes operations management and performance improvement, distressed asset management, mergers and acquisitions, and system integration.  

Mr. Kobis earned his master of business administration degree from Ohio State University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and has served on numerous boards, including the Hospital Associations of New York and Rhode Island. He is also a licensed nursing home administrator in the state of Florida.
